Burton Snowboard’s pros are hitting the road this summer, fall, and winter in the most extensive demo-tour program ever enacted by the company. The pros will be traveling across North America and the world to shops and consumer shows to support the sales of products, sign autographs, and meet and hype up the kids for the new season.
The first stop is happening this weekend, August 12, at the Fridge Magazine Release Party in New York City, and also at Snowboard Connection in Seattle, Washington. In addition, the company is also planning separate dates for the new Analog team including Trevor Andrew, Jeff Anderson, Chris Brown, and Jason Murphy at selected sights along the way.
Bringing the Burton Tour worldwide, selected members of Burton’s North American Pro Team will venture to Japan in September and expand its assault on the Pacific Rim.
As snow starts to fall, Burton will release two fully equipped trailers containing all-new 2001 goods for riders to try out on the slopes. With trailers covering areas throughout the East and West Coasts of the U.S. and Canada, consumers can pick out whatever new boots, bindings, and boards they want to try from Burton’s extensive line. In addition to the demo trailers, smaller satellite groups will be converging on resorts at a regional level, providing all that Burton has to offer to riders everywhere.
One of the special assaults that will be included during the year will be the Women’s Tour. Here, members of Burton’s women’s snowboard team will provide a friendly atmosphere for women to talk and learn more about snowboarding. During the demo, women of all ages and abilities have the opportunity to attend tuning as well as freestyle and freeriding clinics with pros like Shannon Dunn, Victoria Jealouse, and Nicola Thost.
While Burton trailers and satellite groups travel the land, Burton Demo Centers will be on permanent alert for riders’ needs in Park City, Utah; Vail, Colorado; and Stowe, Vermont. These High Performance Super Centers will be fully equipped all season long providing riders with a large variety of the latest products to test.
