Snowboarders are way more accustomed to being on cat tracks than on catwalks. But at fashion show last week, orchestrated by Burton to kick off its Winter Sales Meeting, the new 2005 Burton outerwear line looked damn good on the runway.

Held at a club called the Church in downtown Denver, the fashion show was an awe-inspiring spectacle complete with Hollywood-style snow that fell softly from the gothic cathedral ceiling and ‘melted’ in the air before hitting the ground. Formerly an actual place of worship, the Church now played host to a t-shaped catwalk runway, dozens of models and riders rocking the new 2005 Burton line, DJ A Dog spinning beats and hundreds of hollering Burton sales reps, employees and dealers.

The fashion show kicked off with the new 2005 Burton women’s line, showing off the different color stories that are the crux of the entire Burton Softgoods line in 05. The military meets hot pink ‘Femme Fatale’ color story hit the runway first and was met with big applause from the crowd. Burton Global Team rider Keir Dillon was into the show from the start and hopped on the runway to get down with one of the models.

After the ladies showed off their goods, the guys came out and gave the crowd their first look at the new 2005 men’s Ronin and Burton lines. With strong colors like Sea Kelp, unique tech like the AK Continuum Fuse Down Jacket and one-of-a-kind patterns, the 2005 Burton men’s line looked slick on the runway. When the men’s Analog line came out, the girls along the catwalk loved the steez so much, they stuffed a few greenbacks down the models’ pants.

Now it was time for the kids to hit the runway, and they definitely stole the show with their sassy catwalk dances and runway turns. The kids’ puffy down jacket and a camo print just for the girls were favorites of the crowd.

After the show wrapped up and the Hollywood snow stopped falling, the crowd couldn’t stop talking about how impressive the line was. Props to Burton Softgoods and the rest of the crew who made the fashion show such a huge success.
