ISCHGL, Austria, (AP) – French riders Mathieu Bozzetto and Karine Ruby won parallel giant slalom races Sunday in men’s and women’s World Cup snowboarding.
Bozzetto swooped down the mountain to beat Switzerland’s Uell Kestenholz. In the small final, Italy’s Walter Feichter defeated Austria’s Siegfried Grabner.
Slovenia’s Dejan Kosir kept his lead in the standings after four of 10 races. He added 400 points for his sixth-place finish to make his total 2,490.
Bozzetto’s 1,000 points for Sunday’s win puts him in second place behind Kosir, with Huet third at 1,980.
In the women’s final, Ruby downed Steffi von Siebenthal of Switzerland. Heidi Neururer of Austria defeated Marion Posch of Italy in the small final.
Steffi von Siebenthal leads the women’s standings with 2,750, with Guether second at 2,340. Ruby moved up to third with 2,240.
Sunday’s races replaced those called off last weekend in Kaprun, Austria, because of bad weather.
