Bombardier Recreational Products, Utility Vehicles will become the exclusive Distributor of Prinoth Snowgrooming equipment effective beginning of May 2001.

Bombardier Recreational Products, Utility Vehicles has entered into a long term Distribution Agreement with Prinoth for North America to sell snowgroomers and supply spare parts and after sale service support for all North American Prinoth snowgrooming vehicles.

Prinoth has been present in the North American snowgrooming industry for the past 15 years and is well known for the T-4S and the T2S models. With Prinoth recently emphasizing the need to establish long term product support in North America, it decided the best way to achieve this was to join forces with the best available network in the industry.

“Having the Prinoth line to add to our existing equipment offering”, stated Chris Nyberg, Vice President of Sales, “will provide our customers with a complete line-up of snowgrooming equipment that will fill most any need. This distributorship further reinforces our commitment to maintain our leadership role in this dynamic market.”

The T4S with its long track footprint is known to be the best climber in its class and with 325 hp, it is a state of the art European-designed high speed groomer. As for the T2S, it is a renowned cross-country groomer.

Prinoth customers will be able to order parts, request technical support and assistance from the same phone numbers for the time being while Prinoth sales and support systems are integrated into Bombardier’s structure during the next few months.

Bombardier has been adding staff and restructuring its customer support facilities in the East and adding staff in the west. This will enable the proper integration and handling of this new addition to the Bombardier family. Bombardier has recently brought their TERRAIN MASTER line of products to the Freestyle Terrain grooming market segment and with the addition of the Prinoth product line, North American ski resorts can really expect some good grooming in their future.

Bombardier was selected this fall as the Official Supplier of Grooming Equipment to the 2002 Salt Lake City, Utah Winter Olympic Games and will be supplying over 22 new groomers for the exclusive maintenance of all the Winter Olympic Alpine and Nordic Venues. Bombardier was selected as this supplier to insure that the best surfaces would be provided for all the world’s Olympic Athletes.

In related news: Bombardier Recreational Products, Utility Vehicles names Prinoth as its service provider for snowgrooming vehicles in Europe.

Bombardier Recreational Products, Utility Vehicles has entered into an exclusive, long term Service Agreement with Prinoth for the European territory. Prinoth will supply spare parts, warranty and after sale service support to all European Bombardier snowgrooming vehicle owners.

Bombardier has been a part of the European snowgrooming community for over 20 years and despite product successes and growth in its market share in Europe, Utility Vehicles is leaving the European market at the end of the season based on financial reasons. This is the consequence of recent years’ sharp decline in value of the European currencies and an unfavorable outlook on the future value of the Euro.

Bombardier Utility Vehicles is committed to honoring obligations to its European customers, thus the agreement with Prinoth, who is a well established and respected snowgroomer supplier in Europe. Working hand-in-hand through this agreement, scheduled to go into effect at the end of April, the parties will insure the proper care of the many Bombardier snowgroomer owners throughout Europe. Bombardier Utility Vehicles will concentrate its efforts on the needs of the North American market to ensure its continued role as the leader in the snowgrooming industry.

The consolidation of efforts in North America will free-up resources to maintain its continuous improvement of ccustomer sales and support departments, and engineering and R&D activities.
