Irvine, CA — April 23, 2003 — Billabong announces Amy Botts as Junior’s marketing manager where she will join the Junior’s marketing team at Billabong’s USA headquarters in Irvine, CA.

As a six-year veteran of the action sports industry, Amy comes to this position with a solid knowledge of the surf, skate and snow worlds, and has an extensive athlete management and marketing background.

“We are excited to have Amy join our team as we take the Junior’s division to a new level,” said Candy Harris, Junior’s brand manager. “Along with our new Junior’s team manager, Megan Brainard, Amy will be key in furthering the development of our marketing division as we continue to grow.”

Amy, a Utah native who now calls California home, comes to this position most recently from The Familie, an action sports marketing and athlete management agency located in Carlsbad, CA, where she acted as marketing account manager representing clients such as Vespa, Nike, Disney, ESPN, Big Bear Mountain Resorts, Nestle, and Encinitas YMCA Skatepark to name just a few. Prior to that she acted as director of athlete relations and special events at The Familie where she worked with some of the best action sports athletes in the world. She was also the Southern California sales representative for Jewel sportswear, a women’s snowboard outerwear and apparel line.

In her new role, Amy will manage the Junior’s marketing division and all major events involving Billabong Junior’s.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah.
