SHERMAN OAKS – The American Snowboard Tour announced today that Official XBOX Magazine and Subaru will be sponsors of the 2002 AST tour. “We are ecstatic with the addition of Official XBOX Magazine and Subaru joining the AST family of sponsors that include Paul Mitchell Salon Haircare and JanSport backpacks” said Craig Elledge, Executive Director of the AST. “We will apply the added support directly to the athletes in the form of additional prize money that translates to an increase of 35% over last season.”

In addition to an increase in prize money, the payout will be weighted more towards to top finishers this season, offering a $4,000 first place prize in Half-pipe and $2,500 in Parallel Giant Slalom and Big Air competitions.
