Pigs, pigs and more pigs. That’s what a recent contest for Burton Coalition shops was all about. This past fall, Burton challenged its top tier dealers to create an eye-catching and creative window display with inflatable UnInc pigs. The goal was to promote the new UnInc board line and have a little barnyard fun at the same time. Alternative Sport, a snow/skate shop out of Rimouski, Quebec, came up with the best window display and won the grand prize – a trip for two to the upcoming Philips US Open Snowboarding Championships in Stratton, Vermont.
Out of the pile of entries received, Alternative Sport came up with the best window display, which featured herds of blow-up UnInc pigs in a barnyard scene. They took the farm scene theme to the next level, incorporating many of the Burton Coalition products along with hay bails and an old rickety fence.
A truly progressive shop, Alternative Sport has been around in Rimouski, Quebec since 1995 and was founded by core Canadian rider Patrick Trottier. A two-time US Open competitor, Patrick is happy about the free trip to the Open and looks forward to attending the event.
Congratulations to Alternative Sport on a job well done, and have a great time at the Open.
