Golden, Colorado, March 13, 2000¿As part of an aggressive growth campaign through 2003, AIRWALK International has ramped up its marketing team. The group, headed by Linda Nielander, vice president of marketing, will focus upon re-establishing the brandís lead position within the snowboard, skateboard and BMX core enthusiast market.

Oleg Shikverg, Director of Marketing

A former resident of Colorado, Oleg Shikverg has assumed the director of marketing role at AIRWALK, where he will oversee the brand marketing direction for the company. He will be working closely with Linda in a variety of marketing capacities to re-energize AIRWALK’s image, including website communications, retail marketing, and advertising to the snow, skate and BMX core enthusiast market. Oleg will also be working closely with AIRWALK’s new marketing and advertising partner, Bulldog Drummond in San Diego.

Oleg’s experience in the action sports category spans nine years and his repertoire includes well-recognized brands such as adidas, Morrow Snowboards, Westbeach, Da Kine, Dean Bicycles and Spyder.

Sally Murdoch, Public Relations Manager

As public relations manager, Sally will be focusing upon both internal and external communications at AIRWALK. She will be enhancing communications within the company and establishing an ongoing dialogue with the editorial community of snow, skate and BMX editors, as well as lifestyle and sports media. She will also be implementing a PR plan for 2000 which reflects the brandís aggressive growth strategy.

Sally came to AIRWALK after managing public relations for adidas Golf since 1997 and for Taylor Made Golf in Carlsbad, CA since 1998. She has worked in the sports marketing field for nine years at regional and national advertising agencies, with clients including mountain bike manufacturers, snowboard companies and the United States Olympic Committee in Colorado Springs, CO.

Since its inception in 1986, AIRWALK has been a leader in the marketing and sales of action sports and youth lifestyle products. The companyís offering in skate, BMX and snowboarding products are well-recognized by the global 12 to 24 year old consumer. AIRWALK’s company headquarters have recently moved to Denver, snow sports capital of the U.S., to be closer to the snowboarding community.
