Deep south – New Zealand

Words and photos by Vaughan Brookfield

As it starts to warm up in the northern hemisphere, the New Zealand winter is just about kicking into gear. The first snow of the winter has arrived and everyone is dusting off their gear for the good times ahead. I’m probably a little biased towards New Zealand, being my home country, but a snowboarding trip in NZ is always packed full of adventure, exploration and amazing views. There is something about hitting the road and exploring the little club fields that just feels good for the soul. This group of images is from various trips I have done around my homeland over the last few years. We have explored some expansive mountains with great terrain. We have had a lot of fun along the way. I cant wait to do it all again this winter.

Stay tuned for the new season of Diaries Down Under kicking off next week right here at TWSNOW.com
