Only 4 years old, yet already a Classic in International snowboarding events. The 2003 OP / A NEW DAY World Longboard Classic, with over 350 International participants, will host the true rush of freeriding and brotherhood during one of the biggest gathering of Longboard enthusiasts ever seen.

Founded in 2000, the OP / A NEW DAY World Longboard Classic has become a milestone in the event calendar. Growing from 124 to 309 participants in only 3 seasons, this event proves huge prize pool don’t matter. Rather, soulful happening’s and annual Bro-down meets are key to continue the pleasurable spirit of snowboarding.The events deep cultural value is heightened by hundreds of amped Longboarders, epic north facing powder fields, and vert to burn.

The OP / A NEW DAY World Longboard Classic, scheduled for the 5th April 2003, in powder haven Stuben-Austria, is expecting legends, pros and enthusiasts from Switzerland, Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Netherlands, Belgium, USA, Canada, Japan, New Zealand and Argentina gathering, armed with a quiver of boards ranging anything from 162 ( women) and 172 ( men) up to 2OOOcm.

A special event for all abilities, The OP / A NEW DAY World Longboard Classic is stoked to see not only mature free-rider powder enthusiasts, but also young talents ready to lay down some serious speed!

Start limited to 350 persons

The entire race is off-piste.

Start is at the Albona peak (2408 m)

Finish in Stuben village (1407 m).

300 m Le Mans ( walk/run/skate ) along Albona ridge before decent
