About the event:
This year will mark the Fifth Annual Roxy Chicken Jam. It will be the final major stop of the Women’s TTR World Tour. This event will feature an all women’s Slopestyle and Superpipe competition along with tons of free swag and games for the spectators at the free festival area. A few names that will be there include: Roxy team riders Torah Bright, Amber Stackhouse, Kjersti Buass, along with Jaime Anderson, Kelly Clark, and Gretchen Bleiler. The total prize purse will be $55,000, $15,000 for first place Superpipe and $15,000 for first place Slopestyle. The event showcases a free outdoor concert held in the village at Mammoth Mountain on Saturday, March 28 at 7:00 p.m.

The event will include an open-registration qualifier round for amateur riders to compete for one of five spots in the Roxy Chicken Jam Main Event. Registration begins February 20 at www.roxy.com.

Summary of what went down last year:
Last years Slopestyle event featured 2 jibs at the top of the run followed by 3 kickers. Jamie Anderson dominated the run with a first place finish. Second place went to Chanell Sladics, and Sina Candrian took down 3rd place.
In the half pipe Kelly Clark took home first place. Torah Bright got second, while Kjersti Buass took home 3rd place. Dominique Vallee earned $3,000 for best trick with an “ollie-oop Michalchuk”.
