XODUS Productions founder Torey Piro announced today that the production company, who’s previous releases include the snowboarding films, “Hi-Fi” and “The Empire”, will be running a contest rewarding the riders with top parts in the company’s 2002 16mm film release “VOICE”.

“Our contest is a way we can give back to the riders who work hard filming their parts with XODUS throughout the season.” said Piro.

There will be a $20,000 purse up for grabs this year. A $10,000 prize will be awarded to the rider who is voted to have the “best part” in VOICE. The “second best part” will be given $5,000. There will also be a $5,000 cashout for the “best trick” in the movie.

To keep things completely unbiased, judging will be divided up into four parts, each weighed equally. First, all riders given a part in XODUSProductions newest film, “VOICE” will be voting for their favorites. (They won’t be allowed to vote for themselves.) The second part will be comprised of votes from ten snowboard magazine photo editors from around the world.

The third will be votes counted from the team managers of all of the XODUS Productions “VOICE” Sponsors (no voting for their team riders.) The finalportion of the judging will be votes from the people who buy the video byDecember 1, 2002.

The contest is limited to riders XODUS selects and registers for filming in the 2002 season. The votes will be tallied on December 15 of 2002. Once the votes are counted a check will be cut and issued to the winning riders at the XODUS pre Christmas party celebration in December. This should give the riders enoughtime to buy that new sled before the first of the year.

XODUS would like to thank its 2002 sponsors Transworld Snowboarding, Etnies, Mission Six, Nidecker, Westbeach, SP Bindings, Atlantis, and 32 Snowboard Footwear for making the production of “VOICE” and the XODUS Filming Contestpossible.
