Woodward at Copper Now Offers Locals Skate and Ladies’ Nights
Copper Mountain, CO…September 23, 2009…There is snow on the mountain at Copper with more in the forecast and now is the time to start getting ready for winter. Now through Nov. 20, Woodward at Copper offers two new deals*: Wednesdays are locals’ skate night – free skate sessions from 6 – 8 p.m. for Summit, Eagle and Lake County residents; Thursdays are ladies’ night, with 50% off the 6 p.m. One Hit Wonder or Drop-In sessions for girls and women.
The One Hit Wonder* session is a one-time, 1 hour and 45 minute hands-on intro course designed to help guests become comfortable with the trampolines, foam pits, Snowflex® and other apparatus in The Barn, using key techniques to help participants progress their park and pipe skills. The One Hit Wonder is available to anyone 8 yrs-and-up with intermediate or higher skiing/riding skills and is required for any guest who would like to participate in a Drop-In session. One Hit Wonders are offered daily at 2, 4 and 6 p.m.
Drop-In* sessions last just under 2 hours and are a time when skiers and riders can use The Barn to work on individual skills and focus their training on the trampolines, jumps, and rails, or use the spring floor for stretching and tumbling. Guests will not have designated coaches during the Drop-In sessions, but all apparatus in The Barn will be supervised. Drop-In sessions are open to anyone 8 yrs-and-up with intermediate or higher skiing/riding skills and are offered daily at 2, 4, and 6 p.m.
Skate Only* sessions allow skateboarders, BMX riders and inline skaters to session The Barn’s bowls, mini-ramps, and street skate area. No intro session required and is available to participants of all ages. Helmets are required. Skate only sessions are offered daily from 2 – 8 p.m.
