Park City, UT (May 25)—In its inaugural year the U.S. Snowboarding Chevrolet Evolution Tour will be making a stop at Windells snowboard camp June 22-23, 2005. The two-day, open to all riders, event will consist of Slopestyle and Halfpipe with the overall male and female champion winning a $1,000 Windells gift certificate to be used towards a future summer session.
Spectators and participants are guaranteed a good show as the contest comes on the heels of the Project Gold freestyle camp, U.S. Snowboarding’s junior development program for freestyle riders, and Snowboard will be slopeside grilling up an on-snow BBQ.
The Chevrolet Evolution Tour is an open qualifying series for the Chevrolet Grand Prix, with the top three men and women in each contest earning a confirmed spot on the 05-06 Grand Prix tour.
Camp owner and founder Tim Windell said, “We’re stoked to be a stop on the Evolution Tour—It’s an incredible start to Summer ’05—Windells Camp is going off! Check out BOB, our all new indoor skate facility, a new foam pit, and as always, the sickest rails on any mountain! Welcome US Snowboarding!”
The Chevrolet Evolution Tour is open to any rider with a USSA membership, which can be obtained the day of registration if necessary.
Pre-registration forms and further details are available on www.ussnowboarding.org. Registration will also be available on site at the Timberline base lodge June 21 from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Event cost will be $80/day and includes the competitor lift ticket.
