Snow Park NZ welcomes back designers Frank Wells and Jeremy Carpenter who will be joined by new additions Jeremiah Pebley, Brad Hoerter and Elliot Cone.
Frank Wells, a native of Breckenridge and part of Snow Park Technologies consulting group, will be returning for his 3rd season at Snow Park NZ. He has been busy in the states cutting the half-pipes for the ESPN Winter X-Games and Vans Triple Crown Events as well as maintaining his year-round position at Snow Park as international projects manager.
“Snow Park is something unique the world over, there is no place with this standard of terrain every day said Frank Wells “We are expecting to create some great new features and really push the boundaries of what people perceive to be possible.
Returning for a second season at Snow Park NZ is Jeremy “Brains Carpenter, who spent the summer shaping the pipe at Northstar at Tahoe as well as consulting and working on events around the world. Jeremy’s pipe shaping skills resulted in the US Olympic Snowboard team rating the pipe as the best they have ridden when Wells was absent towards the end of last winter.
A long time colleague of both Wells and Carpenter, Jeremiah Pebley is a fellow Winter X-Games course designer and also a part of the prestigious Snow Park Technologies team. He has been designing parks, pipes and events in the states since 1997 and is stoked to have the opportunity to come to Snow Park NZ and get creative this winter.
Also scheduled to put in some hours at Snow Park NZ for the 2005 season are Brad Hoerter and Elliot Cone. Both Brad and Elliot are 2-times Super Park Champions, a prestigious event run by Snowboarder Magazine. The event, held in different venues each year, brings the crème of the park building industry together to create ground-braking features and have their work judged by riders.
Sam Lee, Snow Park general manager is excited about the amount of talented designers coming to New Zealand this winter. “With all this talent at our disposal we are going to be able to take Snow Park to a whole new level.
