Music Sounds Better with You
- Music Programming, Monster Energy and Arts Highlights-

Whistler, B.C. – The acts are rolling in. Like a snowball of musical proportions, each week is bringing a fresh and exciting announcement of newly confirmed bands and musicians who will be playing at the free AXE Concert Series, the Kokanee Après Series and Club Series.
The line-up for the AXE Concert Series now includes:

April 15 – Fort Knox Five
April 21 – Black Mountain and Tokyo Police Club
April 22 – Broken Social Scene and Dinosaur Bones
April 23 – Gogol Bordello
April 24 – Ozomatli

The Durex END party, an all-night rave of epic proportions, will be held April 23 and will feature DJ’s RJD2 and Ghetto Funk. The Kokanee Club Series is a unique chance to see Fort Knox Five, Tokyo Police Club and Ozomatli in an intimate, fun-filled nightclub environment. Go to www.wssf.com/music for full updates. The e-store to purchase tickets is also online.

Monster Energy, the title sponsor for the snowboarding component of the TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival, is also known for its partying and, not surprisingly, burn-the-candle energy. The team has assembled an array of incredible après and night-time parties, to suit every music taste and party stamina. The opening night of Festival, Friday April 15th, sees The Sh*t Show, featuring live music and the industry’s top riders, kick off the week of snowboarding in style. On April 16th The Late Show, a rave to rule them all, features DJ’s Excision, Mat the Alien, and The Librarian. Sunday April 17th provides a little lee-way for recovery, with a ‘Pub Night’. Finish off the epic adventure that was Monster Energy’s The Show revelry line-up, with Tuesday April 19th’s The Sideshow. Reminiscent of the dress-up parties of the early 90’s, The Sideshow “encourages everyone to dress up like their favourite sideshow “personality”, we’ll have some of the best sideshow acts in the world doing shows all night.” (www.wssf.com/event/show-snowboarding-event)
