Squaw Valley Opens for Skiing and Riding this Weekend
Operation schedule for December 6-7, 2008
[Squaw Valley USA] December 4, 2008- Squaw Valley USA announced today that the resort will open for skiing and riding for the weekend, December 6 & 7, 2008.

Squaw Valley USA kicks-off the season with beginner and intermediate terrain on the lower mountain. Squaw Valley SnowSports School will be open for adult beginner and intermediate group and private lessons, and Squaw Kids will be open for morning half day, afternoon half day and full day lessons.

The Cable Car ticket window and Ticket Portal ‘A’ open at 8:30 am and the Exhibition/Searchlight lift will run from 9 am – 4 pm, Saturday & Sunday. Early season reduced rate lift ticket prices in effect this weekend are $32 for adults, $10 for Children 12 and under, $24 for Youth and Seniors (65-75) and free for all seniors age 76 or older. Afternoon half day tickets are $24 for adults and $10 for Children, Youth and Seniors.

In addition to skiing and riding, guests can enjoy the snow as Papoose will be open for snowtubing from 11 am to 4 pm. High Camp, el 8200′, will be open for ice skating from 11 am to 4 pm and for lunch and drinks at the Terrace overlooking Lake Tahoe from 11:30 am to 4 pm. Beginning at 10:40 am, Sat & Sun, the Cable Car will be leaving every 20 minutes, with the last trip up at 3:40 pm and the last trip down leaving at 4:40 pm. All lift tickets also include Cable Car access.

The main rental shop will be open for ski and snowboard rentals and Village and base area shops and restaurants will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Following the weekend of December 6 & 7, Squaw Valley will close for skiing and riding for the week, with lifts reopening on Saturday, November 13.
