Want to chat football with a NFL referee while perusing your dinner menu? Or maybe enjoy dessert while your local television host clears your table?
SOS Outreach and the Minturn Saloon will be hosting a fundraising night of dinner, drinks and raffles on Thursday, June 16 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Supporters of SOS will be volunteering as servers for the night, and all proceeds from the event will go toward SOS to help get underserved youth outdoors. “Celebrity servers” for the night include NFL referee Mike Carey, professional skier Chris Anthony, TV8 host Tricia Swenson, Vail Daily editor Don Rogers, as well as board members Bill Cotton and Sarah Jardis and local volunteers Jodi Link, James Blackwell and Cheri Curtis.
Cyclists will also have a chance that night to register for the 10th annual Comcast Colorado-Eagle River Ride, SOS Outreach’s bike tour charity ride on July 23. Register before June 24 for the early registration price of $90. After June 24, the price increases to $100. Any riders who have already registered or who register at the dinner will receive a free beer.
“This is a great opportunity to come out, have dinner and support a good cause at a fun event,” said SOS Executive Director Arn Menconi. “It’s great to see supporters like Mike Carey, Chris Anthony and other people in this community so willing to contribute their time and energy. It should be a great night.”
We hope to see you out there — come out, have dinner, bring some friends and support a kid in your community.
