In October 2006, Snow Blind, a feature film documentary about the history, culture, and lifestyle of snowboarding will be released. In addition to featuring interviews and unbelievable footage of pro boarders such as Hannah and Abe Teter, Shaun White, Steve Fisher, and Danny Kass- the movie also shines a spotlight on the people who make snowboarding possible.
Shermin Poppen (the inventor of the snowboard- or snurfer as he called it) and Steve Hayes (co-founder of Hayes Brothers Snowboards) are both interviewed. Also adaptive snowboarders from “Gimps on the Glacier are interviewed and discuss how they adapt snowboarding equipment to fit their special needs.
