I met up with Pat Moore at Waterville Valley, in New Hampshire for some hometown holiday shredding. He was riding his next year’s pro model FORUM board. The shape looks good—and the graphics by Scott Lenhardt look bad ass. I was wondering how he’d follow up this year’s SLAYER graphic. Well, he did it. Damn fun to take some runs with Pat, Danny Garrity and even uber-coach Bill Enos. Good old homecoming.

I’m glad to see Forum heading back into the days of good board graphics (example: Peter Line’s Fear & Loathing board) instead of the terrible shit they have been throwing on boards (thanks to Burton) for the past three or so years…
I am still never going to buy any of their products, but the art looks dope…

burton owns half of snowboarding? Quik owns: DC, Lib, GNU, Roxy, and just sold Rossi. All companies have products made in China. Get a grip on whats actually going on. Forum and the Program brands were up for sale…would you have preferred Spyder or K2 bought them? K2 is owned by Jarden Corp which makes coleman lanterns, baseball bats, tents, toasters, shit the list goes on. You tell me the companies you support and we’ll see where their products are made and who exactly owns them, you are probably a walking contradiction.

I think Rossi owns Mervin Mfg. Since Quiksilver sold Rossi, they don’t have a stake in Lib or GNU any more and those boards are still made in WA state. If you look under ‘Brands’ at quicksilverinc.com, they only list Roxy and DC anymore.

ride is owned by k2 and there are a bunch of other brands under the same company. the mountain group owns dynastar, lange, rossi, and mervin. mervin owns roxy, bent metal, gnu, and lib. burton owns forum and i dont know about foursquare and special blend. nomis, stepchild, and technine all work from the same builing. solomon owns bonifre. quicksilver owns dc, m3 or somehting owns capita, union, deeluxe, and kfc. mfm owns sound. and i own a xxxl biggie shirt

the large dfd hubba ledge with the big dropoff is 20 minutes from my house at new fairfield high and the white dfd rail is 10 minutes away at West Conn
sick spots….haven’t been able to hit the hubba for lack of snow so far but the West Conn dfd is so mellow and so fun

There is no room for jealousy in the sisterhood and brotherhood of snowboarding. Snowboarders are positive people, totally accepting of their fellow boarders and cheering on their accomplishments and diversity, because the success of their fellow boarders elevates the sport and the people in it.
Jealousy is an evil and useless emotion; it depletes your enery and diminishes you in the eyes of your fellow boarders. Legitimate criticism is always welcome. It makes you a stronger boarder, but lose that ad hominem crap. It’s bullshit.
