Six New Riders On Elan’s Development Team

Elan Snowboards’ Development Team is a breeding ground for promising talent and for the coming season, six strong newcomers will join forces with our veterans Matevz Pristavec (SLO) and Neil Connolly (CAN).

Vroni Brandt, German Halfpipe champion, is the first girl to join the Development Team. The 24 year old from Weilheim will not only be seen ripping the pipe, but also be competing in Boardercross at various events throughout the season. Friedl May from Bad Tölz is the second addition from Germany. The 20 year old freestyler scored good results over and over at regional contests and is reaching out for more in the coming season. Two more hard-charging rippers are joining in from Austria. 20 year old Max Weickl from Salzburg, and the 23 year old Daniel Lechner from Schwarzach. The two teamed up to win the World Final of the David Benedek Invitational this summer at Mount Hood, and we expect to see them killing it once again this year.

But it’s not only in the Alps that the team has built up forces for the coming season. Another up and comer, Matti Rautanen from Jà¤rvenpà¤à¤, Finland has joined Team Elan. Matti will show his stuff on the TTR series and also will be spending time filming for his video part in the Scandinavian flick Elekrep.
