The new office, which has been open and home to the Sims product, marketing and sales team since February 2005, has expanded its role to include servicing the dealer base both in Canada and theUnited States.
Sims is pleased to announce that Kevin Page, a snowboard industry veteran with extensive experience in customer service, warranty and technical background, is on board and will be the core of the new group to work with dealers and ITOCHU International Inc., Sims’ New York-based licensing partner, to better service the dealers. Two of ITOCHU International’s core competencies focus on brand management and international retail distribution, relying on the ITOCHU’s history of managing well-known brands and maximizing their potential across the company’s 80-country-strong distribution network.

Sims Snowboards founder Tom Sims, a snowboard world champion, innovator, and spokesperson, has continued to advance snowboarding ever since he made the world’s first snowboard out of wood and aluminum in 1963 for a junior high school wood shop project. (The original board is now in the Colorado Ski & Snowboard Museum in Vail.) Today, Sims Snowboards manufactures snowboards, boots, outerwear, and bindings for the popular winter sports pastime.
