Huntington Beach, CA—Quiksilver, a division of Quiksilver Inc. (www.quiksilver.com) and the world’s boardriding industry leader, today announced the addition of 24-year old snowboarder Scotty Arnold to its snow team. Arnold will be sponsored by Quiksilver Outerwear and Goggles.

A seven-year pro from Park City, Utah, Arnold has been featured in a handful of videos including Mack Dawg’s From ___, with Love, Standard Films’ Notice to Appear, Grenade Glove’s Full Metal Edges and Night of the Living Shred, Robot Foods’ LAME, Smith Team Video, and 411 VM. He has been featured in Snowboarder and TransWorld Magazines, and was nominated “Rookie of the Year” by Transworld in 2002.

“I’m really excited to have a rider like Scotty on the program,” said Brian Craighill, Snowboard Team Manager, Quiksilver. “He brings loads of energy and talent to the team and is young but established in snowboarding. Scotty has great input and will be a valuable asset to Quiksilver’s continuing excellence in high performance outerwear development.”

“I’m stoked to join the Quiksilver program because they treat their riders so well.” said Arnold. “I can count on them to have my back, while I concentrate on what’s important … snowboarding.”

An avid hip-hop fan called “S C O Dubbs” by his friends, Arnold earned 1st Place at the Red Bull Rail Jam ’02, 1st Place at the Sims World Championship Rail Jam ’02, 3rd Place at the US Open Big Air ’02; and most recently placed 2nd in SNOW PIG 2005, and 11th at the X-Games Slopestyle. When he’s not on the slopes, he loves to make music and hang out with his “dawgs”.
