Huntington Beach, CA – (March 17, 2011) – The Seventh Annual Roxy Chicken Jam, presented
by ROCKSTAR Energy Drink, returns to Mammoth Mountain, California during the weekend of
March 24‐27, 2011 for an all‐female snow sport competition and fun. For this first time, Roxy
will live stream Saturday's events on roxy.com and Roxy's Facebook page to bring the festivities
to their fans globally.
This celebrated all‐women snowboard event will once again bring together the top pro women
snowboarders from around the world to compete in slopestyle and halfpipe events for a grand
purse prize of $50,000. In addition to awarding titles for each division, the unique occasion will
feature a festival atmosphere with live performances by former pro snowboarder and punk rock
artist Trouble Andrew and 2011 Grammy winning electro‐pop duo La Roux, a spirited mascot
competition on the half pipe with a chance to win $6000, and games for all to enjoy.

The best female snowboarders from around the world flock to the Roxy Chicken Jam each year
to be part of the U.S.' only all‐female snowboard competition. This unique experience features
the top level of riding in a jam format that promotes progression in women's snowboarding.
The competition includes top Roxy riders TORAH BRIGHT – 2010 Winter Olympics Halfpipe Gold
Medalist and 2009 X Games gold medalist; KJERSTI BUAAS – 2006 Olympic bronze medal
snowboarder; TY WALKER ‐ Roxy's newest and youngest at age 13 , Ty is one of the world's top
ten female snowboarders ; ERIN COMSTOCK– one of the industry's most high‐profile faces on
the slopes and in film – as well as top pros Jamie Anderson, Janna Meyen‐Weatherby, Kelly
Clark, amongst others.
Continuing the popular tradition of previous years, the event will kick off with the open‐entry
qualifying rounds on March 24th. The top five finishers in each division, slopestyle and halfpipe,
will be entered into the semi‐finals to compete alongside the pros for a spot in the finals and a
chance to win the $50,000 prize purse.
The halfpipe finals will take place at 10:30AM on Saturday, March 26th where Torah Bright and
Kelly Clark will duke it out for the top spot. The Slopestyle finals will follow at 2:00PM where
Kjersti Buaas will take on pro snowboarders Jamie Anderson and Janna Meyen‐Weatherby.
In addition to the competition, the Roxy Chicken Jam will include a winter wonderland festival,
featuring a free concert with musical guests Trouble Andrew and La Roux on Saturday March 26,
2011 at 7:00pm. Additional activities over the course of the weekend include the ever‐comedic
Mascot Superpipe Competition, Roxy demo boards, athlete signings at 5:00PM in the Quiksilver
store at the Village, and other giveaways and events at the sponsor tents.
