Lincoln, New Hampshire—Loon Mountain, gravity’s playground, is kicking off the 05/06 season with an early season under-the-lights rail jam on Saturday, November 26, with cash prizes awarded to the top male and female riders. In addition to the contest, Loon will premiere one of the most highly anticipated snowboard movies of the season: The Community Project. Stick around for Firefight, an EPI Films production featuring local snowboarders such as Brian Biederman, Chaz Gouldemond, and Gregg Maxwell, plus food, drinks, and a raffle for a 05/06 Threedom Pass.
Registration for the contest will be from 4 p.m. — 4:30 p.m. in the Octagon Lodge with a $10 entry fee per competitor; all competitors must fill out a liability release, anyone under 18 must have parent or adult signature. The contest will begin at 5 p.m. with an array of rails and boxes set up for contestants to session in an open jam format. Contestants will have an opportunity to impress judges with the three critical areas of performance; execution, difficulty, and style.
