New Hampshire’s Ragged Mountain Resort recently announced over $1 million in resort improvements for the upcoming winter season.  With major upgrades to the water delivery system, Ragged will be able to make much more snow faster and plans to open both Spear Mountain and Ragged Mountain before Christmas Vacation Week.  The popular Flying Yankee trail on Spear Mountain gains a brand new, fully-automated snowmaking system. With the only high speed six-passenger chairlift in New Hampshire, Ragged Mountain skiers and riders will be cruising down some of their favorite trails earlier than ever.  An additional 100 new low-energy, high-efficiency snow guns and a new snow groomer guarantee a consistent snow quality and a winter like no other.

New this season- Ragged Mountain Resort is introducing its new frequent skier card – the Get Ragged Card.  Skiers and riders who purchase the Get Ragged Card will receive 50% off midweek lift ticket rates and 25% off weekends and holidays, and skiers and riders will earn a free day after 10 visits.  The Get Ragged Card is on sale for $59 for adults and $49 for teens, juniors and seniors.  One complimentary early-season lift ticket will be pre-loaded on all cards purchased before December 25.  With the new RFID ticketing system skiers and riders will be able to purchase any product on line and go directly to the lifts.

New to Ragged Mountain, but certainly not to New England ski resorts, is Sport Thoma Ski Shop.  The new shop, located in the Elmwood Lodge, will offer the latest ski and snowboard equipment and clothing; plus all the essentials that make for a perfect day on the slopes – goggles, gloves, mittens, sun screen.  Ragged Mountain Season Passholders can take advantage of a 10% discount, plus exclusive offers through the season.  The experts at Sport Thoma focus on exceeding customer’s expectations, sharing their expert knowledge, and offering family-friendly pricing.

Opening day scheduled for Saturday, November 26.  For up-to-date news, conditions, pricing and events, go to http://www.raggedmountainresort.com
