CRESTED BUTTE, CO-The Prospect Lift, the first of many new amenities scheduled for Crested Butte Mountain Resort CBMR) after being purchased by Tim and Diane Mueller last March, opened today.

“The Prospect Lift is the first landmark in CBMR’s growth, progress and the future,” said Michael Kraatz, the Vice President of Real Estate and Development.

The fixed-grip quad, which is located on the northeast side of the mountain, provides access to three new intermediate runs-Deer Pass, Little Queen and Prospector-and marks the first steps new owners Tim an Diane Mueller have taken to expand beginner-friendly terrain and cater to the needs of families and experts alike.

The Prospect home sites, CBMR’s premier ski-in/ski-out properties, are now formally accessible from the slopes via the Prospect Lift. The Prospect development which was officially annexed to the town of Mt. Crested Butte in the winter of 2001, will provide luxury homes, views and skier accessibility to Prospect investors. Currently in Phase 1, all but two home sites have been sold. Phase 2 home sites became available for purchase beginning in mid-December.

The Muellers and other resort personalities christened the new lift and the beginning of a fruitful era with a bottle of champagne and a ride on the first chair this morning.
