GRACHEN, Switzerland — Christopher Klug (Aspen, Colo.) captured his first WorldCup victory of the season with his impressive first place performance inFriday’s GS event.

Klug’s blistering first run time of 50.13 put him well into the lead, and hissecond run time of 51.66 was enough to secure the first place finish overFrance’s duo of Matthieu Bozzetto and Christophe Segura. Steve Persons(Whitefish, Mont.) finished eighth.

On the women’s side, Betsy Shaw (E. Dorset, Vt.) continued her hot streak with afourth place finish at 1:57.11.
