POP THE QUESTION ON VALENTINE’S DAY AND WIN A FREE ENGAGEMENT PARTY
New Hampshire, Jan. 14, 2000: The New Hampshire Resorts of Loon, Cranmoreand Waterville Valley have announced a most romantic offer. Anyone whoproposes to his or her sweetheart on Valentine’s Day while skiing orsnowboarding at one of the resorts will have a chance to win a freeengagement party in the spring. The party includes a day of skiing for thebetrothed couple and 30 friends, plus a champagne toast at the end of the day.
Those thinking about “popping the question” will need to register with theGuest Services Desk first thing in the morning, and then come back at theend of the day with the person to whom he or she has proposed. On thisromantic day, no “maybes” will be accepted.
Each resort will throw an engagement party for the winning couple in thespring. Party dates are: Loon, April 2; Cranmore, March 26; WatervilleValley, April 2. If more than one couple gets engaged on Valentine’s Dayat any resort, the respective resort will pick the winning couple out of adrawing held at the end of the day.
“We are always hearing stories of guests who have met on the slopes andproceeded to get married. Who knows, maybe these couples will come back andget married on the slopes next year,” said Ted Austin, general manager atCranmore Mountain Resort.
