Pajarito Kicks Off Season on New Year’s Day, Offers Discounted Lodging & Lift Tickets
LOS ALAMOS, NM – Ski Pajarito will officially kick off the 2011 ski season on Saturday, January 1, 2011, and is already blazing the trail by offering the best Winter Ski Promotion in the Southwest. Beginning on January 3, 2011, Ski Pajarito – in coordination with participating lodging facilities in Los Alamos – is offering discounted lift tickets with lodging rates starting as low as $79 per night.
Pajarito Mountain has received more than 17 inches of snow in the past 24 hours, with additional snowfall expected through the rest of the week – making for prime skiing conditions.

Rates vary at participating hotels/B&B’s and are based on double occupancy. Call participating hotels/B&B’s for reservations. As part of the Winter Ski promotion, lift tickets are discounted by 10 percent and can be purchased online at Ski Pajarito’s website, or at participating lodging facilities.

Pajarito Mountain ranges from 9,000 feet at its base to 10,440 feet at its highest point, and has 40 named trails, 300 skiable acres and five chair lifts as well as one surface lift. The Ski Pajarito (www.skipajarito.com) website is one of the few in the State of New Mexico that provides two live, frequently updated webcams at the base and at the top of the mountain, offering a live look at conditions.
Getting to Pajarito Mountain: From Santa Fe or Espanola, take NM 502 to the Y split east of town; NM 502 continues through Los Alamos center, while NM 4 heads towards the Truck Route (East Jemez Road), White Rock and Bandelier. Take West Road just north of Omega Bridge to Ski Pajarito. The ski season continues through March 2011.
