Truckee, CA – Riders and skiers, men and women are all invited to compete inthe Northstar-at-Tahoe and SnowBomb.com “Sick & Twisted” SuperpipeCompetition on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004. The action begins at noon inNorthstar’s 17-foot Superpipe located at mid-mountain, when skiers andriders compete for cash and major prizes.

Male and female skiers and riders of all ages are invited to compete in boththe amateur and open classes. Registration for the event will take placefrom 8 – 10 a.m. in the Chaparral Room located above Cippolini’s in TheVillage. The entry fee is $20 for all competitors. Open and amateur classesare divided into skier, snowboarder, men’s and women’s divisions. Theclasses are also divided into age categories. A parent’s signature isrequired for competitors under age 18. Competitors are advised to arriveearly to allow plenty of time for registration and gondola transportation tomid-mountain.

The Superpipe will open for practice from 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., followed bya competitor meeting at the Superpipe. An awards ceremony will take place at3:30 p.m. on the second floor of The Lodge at Big Springs.

Prizes for the amateur classes include snowboards, skis, gear and more. Theopen class awards cash purses to the top skiers and riders.
