Russian Bonfire rider makes first trip to USA
Bonfire rider, 17 year old Viktor Teymurov, from Moscow, Russia made his first trip to the US in April visiting Mammoth Mountain, CA for two weeks. Viktor made himself right at home in the Mammoth park nailing frontside 900′s off the biggest kicker on the mountain and taking on the pink wall ride with style. Viktor topped of his trip at a sushi dinner with Bonfire when he spotted Paul McCartney at a near by booth. He said many phrases in Russian that we didn1t understand but thanks to his travel partner and snowboardphotographer, Andrey Pirumov, we figured out that he had seen McCartney in the corner. Viktor is an amazing rider and we’re glad to have him on the team. Look for Viktor this summer at Mt Hood during this year1s Bonfire Pipe to Pipe eventsat Windells snowboard camp.
Bonfire pro, Chad Otterstrom killed it at the 2005 TransWorld Team Challenge with the rest of his Academy team. Chad was named Best Rider of the Team Challenge, which was held at Aspen/Snowmass in Colorado April 18th and 19th. Chad has been working really hard this year and winning a lot of events like the Gravity Games Slopestyle and rail jam, plus filming for the new Mac Dawg movie for fall 05.
