Aspen/Snowmass, CO—Athletes and filmmakers are invited to participate in the 5th annual NEPSA Video & Art Awards to be held in Aspen, Colorado on Thursday, October 4, 2007. The NEPSA Awards are the kick-off event for The Meeting featuring movie premieres and a gathering of top filmmakers and athletes.
The NEPSA Awards offer an opportunity for budding filmmakers and athletes to take creative control of a video piece that showcases their lifestyle using music, photography and other mediums to interpret this year’s theme: TRANSITION.
Past participants include skiers Peter Olenick, Lindsey Macintire, Frank Shine, Kiffor Berg, Ted Davenport, Chris Anthony, Marcus Bernier, Ryan Halverson, Steve Marolt, and John Spriggs. The snowboarders who have entered include Chris Klug, Justin Bartle, Mitch Stout, Jaime Culp, Chad Otterstrom, Wyatt Stasinos, Avery Karas and Jesse Wright. A total prize purse of $3,500 will be awarded to the winners.

For the 3rd year, Aspen/Snowmass will host The Meeting, an industry-driven event bringing the snow-crazed local community the new crop of ski/snowboard films from producers such as Poor Boyz Productions, Standard Films, Level 1, Teton Gravity Research, and 1242 Productions & The Community.
