Wrightwood, CA – September 3, 2002 – More than 5,000 skiers and snowboarders visited Mountain High this Labor Day weekend, either online or in person, to purchase their 2002/2003 season passes. Despite the warm weather, the initial tier at $249.00 was exhausted in just three days, an entire day earlier than last year. Now at $299.00, Mountain High’s season passes are still $200.00 off the regular rate.
Says John McColly, Director of Marketing, “With the recent warm temperatures and the light snowfall we had last season, I wasn’t sure what kind of turnout we’d see this weekend. Sales ended up being 28% higher than last year.”
Mountain High’s Anytime Season Pass is valid any day during the 2002/2003 season including weekends, holidays and nights. Pass holders receive Hands-Free lift access through the resort’s electronic-access ticketing system, guaranteed admittance during sellout periods, Powder Alert emails, 10% off non-sale retail items and 10% off ski and snowboard lessons for ages twelve and up. Children’s passes for ages seven to twelve are also available for just $99.00. Children six and under receive a free season pass with the purchase of an adult season pass.
Sale ends October 31, 2002, or when all 10,000 passes have been sold. Because quantities are limited, guests are advised to act quickly. After the sale, all season passes return to their regular prices: $499 Adult, $199 Child (ages 7-12).
