Washington, DC/ Portland, ME (November 3, 2004) —2002 U.S. Open Junior Jam snowboard champion Luke Mitrani has signed a multi-year casual clothing and footwear deal with clothing brand Zoo York.

Mitrani, 14, will be featured in Zoo York snowboard ads, video projects and promotional contests. The youngest member of the Zoo York family, Mitrani will play a crucial role in the company’s expansion into the snowboard casual wear and footwear market. Zoo York is well established in the skateboarding industry with their street clothes and skateboard lines.

Mitrani began competing on the United States Amateur Snowboard Association series at age nine and won all the events he entered in halfpipe and slopestyle. He became the youngest person to qualify for the quarterfinal round of the U.S. Open, won the U.S. Open Boys Junior Jam halfpipe championship and USASA National Halfpipe and Slopestyle Championship in 2002. Mitrani became the youngest member ever to earn a spot on the U.S. Snowboard team in 2003. Earlier this year, he won the Norwegian World Class Championships and Burton European Championships in both halfpipe and slopestyle for his age class.
