14 to 20 Inches of New Snow at Alpine Meadows Ski Resort

Lake Tahoe, CA – Another spring snow storm has left 14 inches of new snow at the base of Alpine Meadows Ski Resort (elevation 6835′) and 20 inches at its mid-mountain snow stake (elevation 7500′).

So far this April, snow accumulation at Alpine Meadows has reached 78.5 inches at its base and 110 inches at the mid mountain level – making this month the fifth-largest April in 40 years of recorded snowfall data.
