Kirkwood, CA – Riding on its reputation as home of America’s Deepest Snow, Kirkwood Mountain Resort, 35 miles southwest of Lake Tahoe, will open for the season with skiing and riding from the top of the mountain on Saturday, November 15, providing anxious enthusiasts the most snow and terrain open in the Tahoe region.

Kirkwood will open five major lifts for all levels of skiers and riders from first timers to seasoned experts. Base depths average 12-28 inches, a combination of natural and man made snow, with more snow likely for the weekend, which will provide a fresh powder surface.

Ticket prices are reduced for the opening weekend to $44 for adults, $34 for young adults ages 13-18, $10 for kids 6-12 and $5 for five and under.
