Irvine, CA—After a successful first installment this past June in the remote Mentawai Islands chain, The Benji Project recently landed in Japan to embark on the second leg of its epic global adventure.  As was the case four months ago, this latest installment once again unites an all-star roster of surfers, skateboarders and snowboarders, including Forum’s own JP Walker.

Produced and hosted by comedic waterman, Benji Weatherley, the goal of The Benji Project is to candidly document the unique lifestyle and exciting adventures afforded some of today’s top action sports athletes and the musicians who inspire them.  As Benji puts it, “I’ve been fortunate to have traveled the world and met some amazing people along the way.  My life is pretty extreme and I want to share it with viewers in a way that’s never been done before.”

Joining Benji and JP for the latest chapter of The Benji Project is surfer Kalani Robb, snowboarder Todd Richards, and skaters Tosh Townend, Chad Bartie and Tony Hawk.  While in the Land of the Rising Sun, the band of brothers will hit indoor snow domes, skateparks and wave pools, including the Ocean Dome in Miyazaki.  Although this man-made marvel has been closed for several years, the Ocean Dome generously opened its doors and fired up some waves exclusively for The Benji Project.  The crew also plans to link up with G. Love at his upcoming concert in Osaka.

Look for all-access coverage of The Benji Project in the pages of TransWorld Surf and other top media outlets in the coming months.  The Benji Project is slated for release summer 2007.
