With the first cycle of donated boards benefiting the JLA Foundation and the Volcom Brother’s Skate Park in the books, round 2 is looking to be just as exciting. Highlights from the first round included a Colorado based rider on his second Army tour in Iraq taking home the Dave Downing Custom X, and an intense last minute bid war for the Bam skateboard, pushing the price up $100 in the final minutes. Either way, some Ebay-savvy shredders committed absolute robbery on some autographed gear, and this next set looks to be just as promising. For those that missed out last week, a slew of pros donated boards, to the JLA Foundation in honor of Jeff Anderson. The boards are all being auctioned on Ebay right now. All the proceeds go towards Mammoth’s new skate park being constructed in Jeff’s memory. People who have skated it thus far said it could be the best concrete park in the country, but construction is not yet completed. $20,000 still needs to be raised to fund the final costs. In order for this to happen, your favorite pros donated a bunch of their boards for auction on Ebay. Each is autographed, and would make a great wall fixture in your house, or a great ride for the upcoming winter.
This week, we’ve got Kier Dillon’s 159 Burton Raven that he used in last year’s X Games Super Pipe, a brand-new 159 K2 Mix from Gretchen Bleiler, the factory prototype to Chris Coulter’s Sapient 159 Pro Model, and Kelly Clark’s own 152 Burton Code from last season.
Everything you see will be up from this moment until next Saturday (Nov. 12), so once again, get you’re bid on for a great cause!
Next week, look for a new Uninc from DCP, and Josh Dirksen’s board from the Baker Banked Slalom.
