Bent Metal Binding Works is proud to be collaborating with iconic snowboarder, artist and Mervin Manufacturing family member Jamie Lynn on the new Transfer binding! In many ways Jamie Lynn is freestyle snowboarding. His method, his frontside 360 and his cab spins set the bar impossibly high for style and technique from the mid 90’s to now. As of late this enigmatic legend is finding all new stoke and ways to push his skill set, still catching more air than anyone else off a bump from Baldface to Holy Bowly.
Working closely with the BMBW engineering and design team headed up by long time Mervin employee and on snow ripper Paul Ferrel, Jamie’s art, design and performance input on the Transfer model was instrumental. The all terrain Transfer features a medium flex high back with an asymmetrical wing for full support, light form ankle and toe straps, forged aluminum buckles, the revolutionary Cube forward lean adjuster and of course our signature Flex Control Drive Plate ablaze with Jamie art.
Made in Sequim, WA at Mervin Mfg, the Flex Control Drive plate acts as a miniature snowboard in your baseplate using hand laminated composite technology to bring different flex patterns to the binding itself. In the case of the Transfer it’s an aluminum / boron fiber modifier that helps to deliver an even and medium flex perfect for all conditions.
All the Transfer info and eye candy and anything else you could want is now live at bentmetal.com. Including (but not limited to); tech break downs, product info, insane action shots, original blog content, video testimonials and weekly BMBW athlete announcements. It’s a new lease on snowboarding for Jamie Lynn and Bent Metal Binding Works. Clean, reliable, stylish, strong and light with Mervin Made drive plates and a whole new batch of riders looking to Jamie for inspiration. The future looks rad, brother.
