Jackson Hole Mountain Resort will open for the 2012/13 winter season this Saturday, November 24th.  This Saturday the resort is opening nearly 2,000 vertical feet of intermediate and beginner groomed runs will open, served by two high speed quads, Teewinot and Après Vous. This is the earliest opening date in Jackson Hole Mountain Resort history.  Snowfall totals for the month are consistent with historical November averages, despite temperatures being above average for the month.  Snow is in the forecast for opening weekend and snowmaking will continue for the next month.

To celebrate the opening of Winter Season 2012/13, the Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole will host the first annual Snow Peep Show on Saturday at 4 pm, with all proceeds benefiting Teton County Search and Rescue. In an effort to encourage valley residents to buy locally on Small Business Saturday, retailers in Teton Village and the town of Jackson are collaborating to host this ski season kick-off party to preview winter styles and gear.  Tickets are $10 at the door and in advance at JH Sports, TVS and The Resort Store on Town Square.
