Mt. Hood, OR (Immediate Release) - New for this summer, High Cascade Snowboard Camp is adding a private rope called The Big Toe™. This summer when campers are shredding HCSC’s private parks under the warm Oregon sunshine they’ll be doing so via a high speed handle tow (The Big Toe™) in The Original Park™ and via a high speed quad in The Lap Park™.
The Big Toe™ equals more runs through the park per day. More runs through the park equals more fun and more fun should always be the goal. HCSC camp director Preston Strout breaks it down like this: “The Big Toe™ is basically like being able to email yourself to the top of the park. Instead of transporting information via metal wires, we’re transporting snowboarders. Everyone loves the Internet, so everyone will love The Big Toe™, it’s that simple”.
Since 1989 HCSC has provided the world of snowboarding a place to come together during the summer and enjoy some shredding. From June 15th – August 15th, snowboarders age 9 and over, of all abilities, genders and geographic upbringings come to camp and snowboard. For more information, visit highcascade.com (on the Internet). High Cascade: For snowboarders, by snowboarders.

Yeah man get ‘em! I’m sure they were sitting around in a dingy bar saying “man, how can we just rip off Windells”. I’m thinking they probably just want to increase the fun and that’s a great way to do it. No one likes a hater adam.
p.s. How is the weather in Texas?

haha i wasnt hating, i was just pointing out windells posted the same thing only a week ago. Personally i think the whole feud is stupid and they should combine efforts, we all know thats the only way to knock off COC. and yes, i have visited the other side of hood Mike. And texas? not sure i get that.

how do you know they didn’t plan to put one up before windells?
March 10th, 2009 at 5:41 pm
i’ve been waiting for this! so stoked they’ve decided to to put one in. Yeah sure, Windells put one in first but who cares, now two sweet summer snowboard camps both have toe ropes so people can hike less and shred more!
March 10th, 2009 at 7:35 pm
Well they pretty much had to get a rope tow to stay in business against windells….

Windells and HCSC are both better and worse in their own ways…windells main camp is amazing while HCSC not so much… More people seem to like HCSC’s park than windells..could go back and forth like this for ever

who cares if they copied windells. hcsc is the true summer snowboard camp, snowboarders only, the way it should be!

Yes Windell’s decided to get one first. No big whoop though - it’s a great idea. HCSC has no problem borrowing great ideas from a ski camp.
Keep shreddin.

the whole ski/board feud is stupid, were all looking for the same thrills, as long as were not talking ski racers and all that shit skiers dont bother me at all
March 11th, 2009 at 10:49 am
anyone who has a legit local hill has ski friends
March 11th, 2009 at 12:37 pm
maybe the camps just copied the Midwest shred scene and that’s why they have tow ropes
March 11th, 2009 at 2:02 pm
people have been talking about how sick a rope tow would be for forever. all the camps get bigger and bigger each year as they grow, and now high cascade has money for a rope tow. windells didn’t invent the concept of a rope tow.

Snowboarding and skiing are both super sick. For the progression of snowboarding, its not a bad idea to see what the skiers are up to. They do some super sick stuff that we could learn from.
Windells ftw.

…The idea behind our Off-Piste Combination Course is to work on both your own Performance Off-Piste as well as seeking out some great routes and off piste ventures in the selected resort that the course is run in
