Irvine, Calif. (December 5, 2007) — With much excitement, Gravis Footwear is proud to announce the signing of Hannah Teter to their team of snowboarding professionals. The 20-year-old Vermont native is considered one of the best competitive riders in the world and set her mark in snowboarding history when she won the gold medal in half pipe in the 2006 Torino Olympics.
“I am super pumped to be a part of the Gravis Team, said Teter, who currently resides in South Lake Tahoe. “I admire a bunch of the athletes and dig the artwork and design found throughout the women’s line.
Teter, who has been riding since the age of 8, has been atop of the women’s snowboarding world for the past five years with podium finishes in numerous X games, Grand Pries, Burton Global Open Series and every competition in between. In 2005, Hannah was featured in the documentary “First Descent alongside snowboard legends Terje Haakonsen and Shaun White.
“I’m just a girl living a dream. I’ve been blessed with this for some reason and I’m just grateful to be living the way I am, said Teter, whose sponsors include Burton, Anon, and Mt. Dew. “Hopefully, I can give back all that I have received.
