Innovative Snowboard slopestyle at Europe’s longest-running contest!

As the slopestyle discipline will premiere at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games, the slopestyle riders are at the centre of attention more than ever. The Champs Leysin 2013 edition again attracts some of the world’s leading riders from 14 nations. The field includes the reigning champion and current 4th in the overall ranking of the World Snowboard Tour, Roope Tonteri (FIN), as well as the 5th-ranked, Jan Scherrer (SUI), or top rider Janne Korpi (FIN). The riders are eager to win the coveted Champs title and gain more contest experience with regard to the Olympics.

This year, they present an innovative slopestyle course that is unparalleled worldwide, uniting two Olympic formats in one run: they will integrate a half-pipe into the classical slopestyle features like kickers and rails. This outstanding combination is a tough challenge for the riders who have to prove their versatility and to master both disciplines in one run. The 5 star Event Nescafé Champs Leysin from 06.-10.
