On Sunday, October 15, Jesse Burtner (JB Deuce Productions mastermind and Pro-snowboarder) sustained a serious head injury while snowboarding. Burtner rides for Lib-Tech Snowboards, Vans, Grenade Gloves, and Boarderline AK. He also leads JB Deuce Productions, makers of such classic movies as “Survival of the Tightest”, “The 49th Chamber”, and the recently released “In for life”, showcasing Alaskan snowboarding and skateboarding talent.

On Sunday Jesse underwent major surgery and now has a golf ball sized hole in the back of his head. Jesse has been in ICU for the past three days and will be hospitalized for a while. He is expected to make a full recovery and, so far, shows no permanent brain damage. He will however, have huge medical bills (brain surgery ain’t cheap) but has no insurance. Fundraisers have begun to help he and his family cover the financial burden they will surely incur. The first will be held at the “Couching Tiger” Movie premier on Oct. 16 at The Showbox in Seattle. At the show, his new movie (“In for Life”) will be premiered and videos sold with all the proceeds going to help him in his recovery. One of his personal boards will be raffled off during the show to raise money for him as well.

Both videos are amazing and well worth watching. The fact that this has become a fundraiser for him, should make people want to attend even more. Bring some extra $$ for the video and buy a ticket to win a great board from a great company and help support a great friend. If you cannot attend but would still like to purchase a video you can contact Jesse at Jesseburtner@hotmail.com and arrange for a copy to be sent to you. All cards and donations can be sent to him at:6526 22nd Ave. NWSeattle, WA 98117

Let’s all wish Jesse a fast and full recovery. Jesse and Christina Burtner thank-you for your support and hope you enjoy the movie!
