Aspen/Snowmass, Colo., February 2, 2009 – The fourth annual Aspen/Snowmass Open presented by Audi will once again take place at Buttermilk, February 5 – 8, 2009.

The event offers the opportunity for up-and-coming athletes to compete on the renowned ESPN Winter X Games slopestyle and superpipe courses on Buttermilk before they are opened back up to the general public.

Big name athletes attending include Bobby Brown, Sean Decker, Alex Schlopy, Henrik Lempert, Joe Eddy, Jamie Culp and Aspen/Snowmass Team Athletes Meg Olenick and Matt Walker.

Nearly $50,000 of prize money is on the line again this year. This unique event will have open categories to skiers and snowboarders, men and women, in both slopestyle and superpipe.

Men’s snowboard slopestyle and superpipe fields are still open to athletes. Men’s skiing superpipe is also open. All of the women’s events are still open as well.
