Whistler, B.C. (Canada) —¿ The Dave Murray Summer Ski & Snowboard Camp enters its third decade of dynamic coaching under the new ownership of Greg Daniells and Christian Saxvik. “We are honoured to continue the legacy that Dave Murray began as a world class skier, champion and coach,” said Greg Daniells. The Dave Murray Camp is the longest running summer Ski and Snowboard camp in North America annually attracting top coaches and campers from all over Canada, the United States and internationally.

Collectively, Greg and Christian have 25 years experience in the snow riding and resort industry. Greg is a Level 3 Snowboard Instructor and the British Columbia Coordinator for the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors; Christian co-ordinates certification and coaching for international clients within Whistler resort and is a certified ski instructor, coach and windsurf Pro.

It is this experience that Greg and Christian envisage will take the Dave Murray Summer Ski & Snowboard Camp to a new level in Summer 2001. “We are excited at the opportunity to re-energise the camp with our passion and knowledge of the snow riding industry and coaching,” Greg Daniells said.

“Previously the DMSSC has been race-focused and we recognise this emphasis must evolve to appeal to the ever changing snow-rider market. We are excited about the emergence of twin tip skiing and are developing this area of the camp to access the positive synergy between snowboarders and skiers.”

DMSSC employ the top coaches and riders in the country to ensure the best experience possible. “We hire professional, experienced and certified coaches who have a genuine passion for coaching and instructing kids and adults of all ages and abilities” said Greg.

DMSSC caters to all styles of skiing and snowboarding including mogul and recreational skiing, new school freestyle skiing and race training. The DMSSC snowboard program includes coaching and development in freestyle and freeride, half-pipe and the snowboard park. The camp is open to all ages (including adults) and is all-inclusive providing everything from airport pick-up, accommodation, all meals, lift tickets, expert coaching and afternoon and nightly activities.

Camp groups in the DMSSC are generally limited to smaller numbers for easier to manage groups and a more personalized experience. “We like the fact that our smaller camp groups allow us to get to personally know every camper as well as ensuring that every camper receives maximum instruction – this ultimately enhances their entire camp experience with us.” Greg said.

Greg and Christian are committed to continuing to provide a first-class camp and coaching experience. They intend to honour the legacy of Dave Murray by donating a percentage of the funds from the 2001 Dave Murray Ski and Snowboard Camp to Cancer Research. For more information call 604-932-5765
