Crested Butte, Colo. — February 15, 2004 — Crested Butte Mountain Resort announced today that the ski area will remain open well into April, due to the abundant snowfall and superb skiing conditions. The extended season is also a company-wide celebration as ownership changes hands to the Mueller family, owners of both the Okemo ski resort in Vermont and Mount Sunapee in New Hampshire.

The resort will be offering spring season value deals on lodging, lift tickets, ski and snowboard school lessons and more. Crested Butte’s professional instructors will conduct “Extreme Limits tours taking skiers and snowboarders to some of the resort’s steepest couloirs-Staircase, Cesspool, the Headwall and others. Other North Face/Double Black Diamond Workshops will be geared toward those skiers and snowboarders eager to master the steepest ungroomed slopes in the Rockies.
