Copper Mountain, Chill, and Burton Snowboards are teaming up to launch an event supporting disadvantaged kids in Denver

You’ve heard of a walkathon? Well this is the same thing, just add snow, and a mountain, and a board, and cold weather and snowboarders, and…OK so you know what? This is nothing like a walkathon; just the way things are set up is the same.

You get pledges, and then for every 1,000 vertical feet you ride in the day, you help raise money for the Denver-Chill program which gives over 170 disadvantaged inner city kids the chance to experience the sport of snowboarding.

If you’re interested in being a part of the event e-mail ryans@burton.com for more info and the pledge sheet.

So wax your board, get some people to back your riding, come to Copper on the 18th and ride for the cause!

TranswWorld Media is a proud sponsor of Chill, an international intervention program that provides underprivileged youth with the chance to build self-esteem through the sport of snowboarding.
