November 6, 2010 – Columbus, Ohio
The Mad River Mountain Staff will be hauling over 30 tons of ice to Downtown Columbus, then utilizing a specialized ice shredding machine to transform THE LC Pavilion into a ski slope, complete with entry to professional level freestyle rail features. The event will be showcased with a guest appearance by local Snowboard Olympian and Dancing with the Stars contestant Louie Vito. Live entertainment will be provided by two time snowboard half-pipe Olympian Trevor Andrew aka Trouble Andrew and Professional Snowboarder, DJ Marc Frank Montoya. Emcee for the event is Quiksilver team rider and X-Games Announcer Todd Richards. Throughout the day the public can participate in a freestyle ski and snowboard event that culminates with a Rail Jam, featuring skiers and snowboarders competing for over $3000 in cash and numerous prizes. The judges of the Rail Jam, Technine pro riders Dylan Thompson and Derek Dennison and Under Armour/Level 1 pro skier Ahmet Dadali will be displaying their abilities with a snowboard and ski demonstration on the competition rail set. Live entertainment by Trouble Andrew and a snow apparel fashion show by Roxy, Quiksilver, and Aspen Ski and Board, will closeout the event as we showcase the entire lifestyle surrounding the ski and snowboard industry — Snow, Fashion, and Music.
